About me

Hi, I’m Julia.

I believe that dog training should be clear, easy to implement and also fun for both you and your dog!

Whether you’re welcoming a new furry family member, working on behavior like loose‑lead walking or recall, or dealing with challenges like reactivity, anxiety, or resource guarding, I’m here to help you build a more harmonious, happy everyday life with your dog.

For me, training isn’t just about giving cues or running through exercises. Real progress happens when humans and dogs understand each other — emotions, needs, rough edges and quirks.

Also, training shouldn’t feel complicated or overwhelming. That’s why I offer solutions that fit your lifestyle and actually work long‑term. No two dogs are the same, and no two humans are either — so training shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all.

My approach is rooted in modern science, and I stay up to date through continuous learning. I want training to feel good for both you and your dog. That’s why I don’t use leash jerks, intimidation, body blocks, or scolding. I truly believe that force‑free, needs‑oriented training works for every dog — from the family companion to rescue dogs with a past. Especially for dogs that are labeled as “dominant,” “stubborn,” or “difficult.”

Why I became a dog trainer

Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. While I was still in school, I managed to convince my parents to welcome a dog into our family. Professionally, I initially chose a different path and became a lawyer. Still, I always knew a dog would be part of my life one day. Long before that day came, I was already binge‑watching training videos and imagining what life with my future dog would look like.

And then Alma came into my life.

Alma wasn’t the kind of dog who simply stepped off the transport from a Spanish shelter and gratefully slipped into my urban lifestyle. Alma arrived with a lot of opinions, her own little suitcase of issues and absolutely no interest in stand‑up paddling or cozy café afternoons — despite all the puppy books I had read. She couldn’t stay home alone, was afraid of many things, got overwhelmed quickly, and would launch into full on screaming fits whenever she saw small furry animals.

Alma taught me how crucial it is to really understand your dog. That means seeing them as they are — quirks, edges, preferences, fears, all of it. The challenges she brought along, combined with my existing fascination for dogs, pushed me to dive deep into dog training through a two‑year programme and additional courses. Today, I understand her so much better — why she reacts the way she does, what she needs, and how to support her. Together, we’ve shaped a life that works for both of us.
